Kathryn (Kay) Mullen's Obituary
Kathryn "Kay" Lechnar Mullen, 93, of Huntersville, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA and Stone Mountain, GA died September 21 at her home. She was born on May 23, 1926 in Allegheny County, PA to the late Joseph E. and Virginia McCartney Lechnar.
Survivors include her husband Robert James Mullen, Sr.; daughter, Cecilia Mullen Gabriel and husband Charles of Cary, NC; sons, Robert James Mullen, Jr. and wife Laura of Loganville, GA and Timothy Patrick Mullen and wife Lisa of Doraville, GA; grandchildren Christopher Mullen, John Tagg, Alexander Gabriel and Jacob Mullen, and siblings Alma Lechnar, Richard Lechnar, and Eileen Fike. Her daughter Amy Beth Mullen preceded her in death as well as sisters Jean and Suzanne and brother Joseph.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte Region (Lake Norman).
A funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM Monday, September 23 at James Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. Visitation will be 2-3:30 prior. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, Cornelius, NC.
