Kathy Hybarger's Obituary
Kathy Byrum Hybarger, of Huntersville, passed away at the age of 65 early on the morning of Monday, September 24th, 2018 at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, September 27thin the chapel of James Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC with a reception to follow in the James Funeral Home Community Room. Reverend Mike Davis of Real Life Church in Stanley, NC will officiate.
Kathy was born in Charlotte, NC on January 5, 1953 to the late William Peck and Joyce Cauble Byrum.
For the past 27 years, Kathy worked for Southern Shows in various positions, but most recently as Office Manager. During her time there, she made many lifelong friends and was a vital asset to the company.
“Nana,” as she was fondly referred to by her grandchildren, enjoyed baking and sharing her gift with family and friends. Her flair for decorating cakes was legendary as were her skills with a crochet hook.
In her final hours Kathy was surrounded by those who loved her and was eventually called home to the Lord. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Williams Northmore and husband, Sean, of Huntersville; their children Atlee, Olivia, and Ansley Northmore; son Matthew Douglas Hybarger and wife, Jennifer, of Denver; their children Layton, Jaycie, and Evie Kate Hybarger; brother William Peck Byrum, Jr. and wife Margaret; sister Christy Byrum Williams and husband, Carl of Gastonia; Nieces and nephew Emily Raible, Alison Trivette, and Carl Williams.
