Kay Boone's Obituary
Kay Adams Boone, 71, of Charlotte, NC passed away at Pruitt Health in Harrisburg, NC.
Kay Adams Boone was born April 10, 1945, in Lexington, VA. Her parents were D.B. Adams and Linda P. Adams, both deceased. She was predeceased by one brother, Eddie Adams. She is survived by her Husband, James L. Boone, Jr., and his three sisters who were like her own. They are Debbie Stephens, Susan Kulikowski and Linda McElveen and her mother-in-law Dorcas C. Boone.
Kay graduated from Harding High School in Charlotte. She was retired from EDS. She is a member of Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church where she had been active in the Circle of Rebekah, the Older Adult Ministry, various fellowship groups and was everyone’s favorite baby sitter, especially taking care of the choir children on Wednesday evenings as long as she was able. She was most proud of receiving the Honorary Life Membership Award from the Presbyterian Women of Mallard Creek. She was a long-time member of the Swinging Mallards Square Dance Club. She considered everyone her friend and her friends cherished her friendship.
A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 2:00 PM, at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, in church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church, 1600 West Mallard Creek Church Road, Charlotte, NC 28262.
