I was shocked and saddened to hear about Kay-Marie's passing. I worked with her at Wells Fargo for about 13 years, and she was a very helpful and knowledgeable co-worker who was always willing to help. She was a true UNIX expert who was always willing to share her knowledge at work and through her website. My condolences go to family and friends. Kay-Marie will truly be missed...Shawn W. Lipe.
Kay-Marie and I worked together for years but never had a lot of interactions due to her working nights and me working days. However once she moved to day shift our friendship grew.
I will always cherish the moment that she walked over to my desk and offered me a hug after my Mom’s death.
I’m going to miss our conversations and her funny sense of humor. Rest In Peace my dear friend.
After the initial shock of learning of May-Marie's passing I reflected on our friendship.
I met Kay-Marie through my dear friend Paula. I needed a bit of help from Paula understanding her sister's sense of humour (we both spoke English but I quickly learned that there is a big difference between American English and British English - and of course humour!).
I have many happy memories of times with Kay-Marie and Paula - from visiting the Zoo to enjoying Kay-Marie's home-made Pepperoni Rolls.
I left USA over 20 years ago and we kept in touch by emails and telephone. We loved to share the latest antics of our pets and chat about our hobbies.
In her too short life Kay-Marie achieved so much. I will miss her and can't help but think - what we have lost heaven has gained - her fun and sense of humour will definitely stir things up there!

The words on this site really can not convey the shock I felt when I heard the news of her passing.
Kay-Marie and I worked together at Wells Fargo (Wachovia) on the same team and for a bit even sharing the same desk where I worked in the day and she worked nights. I enjoyed her passion for photography and I knew if I had a question regarding anything UNIX, she would know the answer. Even after I left the team and started working 100 % remote, I would still go into the office from time to time to visit and she would always make sure that we had a brief conversation to catch up.
I just spoke with her last month as I was wishing her Congrats on her work milestone as I am 6 months behind her in the number of years of service.
My condolences to the family. I am glad that I got the chance to know her for the years that I did. She will be missed.
