Tom Upchurch
Ken was a good friend for over 30 years as we shared opportunities and challenges at the Methodist Medical Center, First United Methodist Church and the Breakfast Rotary Club. I never saw him as a patient; he never seemed to be sick. I always admired his ability to maintain humor and precision during difficult circumstances. Maybe that is how he managed to survive several years as an all weather, jet carrier pilot. He lived life to the fullest, gave a lot back and left in a moment. I am sorry that Roberta, Sherrie and Scott will have to face the future without him but many of us of the older persuasion certainly admire the way the lived and the way he died.
