Kevin Burns' Obituary
Kevin Joseph Burns, 77, lived a life defined by curiosity, craftsmanship, and a passion for the people and hobbies he loved most.
A devoted teacher for more than 30 years, he found genuine joy in sharing his knowledge, patiently encouraging others, and leaving a lasting impact on countless students throughout his career.
Outside the classroom, Kevin felt most at home while at the racetrack, where motorcycle racing wasn’t simply a hobby; it was a way of life that introduced him to his cherished AHRMA family, whose friendships meant the world to him. He was happiest with a wrench in his hand, a woodworking project on his bench, or surrounded by the quiet beauty of the woods.
His faithful dog, Choctaw, was never far from his side and was his constant companion through life’s everyday adventures. Kevin will be remembered for his steady wisdom, generous heart, unique sense of humor, and his willingness to help anyone who needed him. Though our hearts are heavy with the loss of a man who meant so much to so many, we take comfort in knowing he has completed his final lap and a life well lived, filled with purpose, passion, and love.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents and his brother Robert J Burns. Left to cherish his memory are his sister Kathleen M Kelly and her husband John, his brother Michael P Burns and his wife Heidi, his sister Barbara A Reitman and her husband Robert, his sister Jane T Chaya and her husband Robert, his brother Thomas P Burns and his wife Ramona and his very close friends Robert and Caitlin Hall and their children Blakely and Dayton Hall.
His legacy will continue in the lessons he taught, the friendships he treasured, and the memories that those who loved him will carry forward every day.
