Kevin Michael Herman Sr.'s Obituary
Kevin Michael Herman, Sr., 62, of Huntersville, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026. He was born in Camden, NJ on April 17, 1963, the son of Margaret and the late Daniel G. Herman.
He now joins his sister Lauren; Kevin Michael’s grandmother Aurora Zamora; and his stepfather Edmundo Sotomayor in Heaven.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Arelis; beloved son, Kevin Michael; mother, Margaret Ahern-Sotomayor; brother, Dr. Daniel J. Herman; nieces, Sabrina, and Rhianna; nephews, John Herman, and Charles Herman; aunts, Kathy Burt, and Helen Gamble; and 13 cousins; as well as many friends and families who loved him.
Kevin graduated from school in Paulsboro, New Jersey and from St. James High School in 1982 after which he served four years in the United States Army. He was employed by US Air/American Airlines for 34 years, working in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, San Diego, and finally Charlotte.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00am, Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at St. Mark Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00am. Burial, with Military Honors, will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, 12:30pm, at Salisbury National Cemetery.
