Frank was my Coast Guard Recruiter. I was not just a number to Frank, I was a person.
I have known Michelle since we were in grade school. We were active in Girl's Circle at our church - Woodland Hills Presbyterian. Michelle loves Christ and has been a witness for Him all of her life. As believers we are left in the world & allowed to pass through every kind of circumstance so God's glory may be seen. I don't know how His glory will be seen in the coming days through such a painful loss, but our God is faithful. I saw Michelle's love & happiness with Kirk in photos, cards & letters. We will continue to keep Michelle & her family in our prayers in the coming days. We stand on Psalms 110:11 as she takes each step in this journey.
As the former wife of Kirk for over ten year's and the mother of his only child, Jennifer ( she was named after Kirk's mother Virginia....however I insisted that she not be named Virginia, but Jennifer, and he relented and we both decided that we would call her Jenny, which is close to Ginny); I believe that I am qualified to say a few things about him.
He was a very good and spiritual man, with a genuine goodness in his soul. Although we did not see eye to eye on everything, he proved to be a fantastic father to his daughter, our sweet Jenny. Did he do everything right? Of course not, but he did so many things right for our daughter that the things he did wrong are irrelevant. I too have done many things wrong. But the love for a parent is almost perfect and she forgave us both for our ineptness.
Jenny is "our" future. How wonderful he must have felt about that in his last moments, because he knew as I do, that she is such a remarkable daughter; kind, loving, caring and completely unselfish towards her own needs, even at the time of his looming death. I'm sure that he died with both peace and pride in his heart, knowing that he'd done everything in his power to make Jenny happy on this earth, until they meet again in Heaven. I'm so sorry that Kirk was taken to Heaven so early, but hoping that God has a special plan for that.
On behalf of Systel, we are truly going to miss Kirk. He always brought smiles and positive energy to the our office. In his short time with Systel he proved to be a great friend and a true professional. He will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

On behalf of my entire family I would like to express our sincere sympathy on the loss of Kirk.
I have such happy memories of my cousin who had such a unique sense of humor. I recall taking a row boat ride with Kirk in Panama City and the boat sunk in the middle of the lake. We laughed all the way on the swim back.
You will be missed.
Love Susan

We don't know how to express our deepest sympathy to you for losing Kirk, but know the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you. We regretfully won't be able to attend the Memorial service and want you to know our love and support are always available. You both were very special friends when we shared times together! Heaven is brighter. Keep shining, Michelle. Praying for strength, peace, and comfort for you and family. Love, Janice
Thank you to Michelle and family for designating memorial gifts to Serenity House. The donations will go forward in providing comfort focused care at the end of life for a new hospice family in need of love and attention.
Our volunteers were blessed to see the love of family and friends as thy gathered to celebrate Kirk's life in his final days. Our hugs continue as prayers for your family.
