Kristen Renee Black, 38, of Davidson, NC, died March 4, 2013 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House. She was born on June 9, 1974 in Hudson Co., NJ to Andrew Grogan and Diane Handlowitch Grogan. Survivors include her husband Vincent Read Obituary
I am so sorry for your loss. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3,4…states “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death.
I am so saddened to hear of Kristen's passing. Although we lost contact this seems so unreal. Kristen was my childhood best friend. We went to St. Anne's Grammar School together and shared so many great memories. I will never forget walking back and forth between Liberty Ave. and Western Ave. or our walks to Central Ave. . We had so many fun and crazy times growing up, the Bon Jovi and Guns and Roses concerts, oh and the NKOTB concert. How I got her to agree to go to that is still a mystery! I will never forget all of the "summer time" fun in Forked River. Thank you for all of the great memories I will cherish them. Kristen you touched the lives of so many people, more then you will ever know. It's sad that sometimes we don't realize the impact a person has on our life, until they are no longer here. My heart goes out to your family whom you were taken from....way too soon.
I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Kristen's family. I worked with her at the Commission for many years and up until the time she became ill. She always made me laugh with her matter of fact attitude. She was no nonsense and tough as nails. She was an excellent teacher and the kids at St. Joe's loved her. She touched so many lives and she will be sorely missed. She really made this a better place and was taken too soon. May she rest in peace.
I am so sorry to hear of Kristen's passing. She was a dear friend in high school and I only wish I had the opportunity to reconnect with her before her passing. She was always there with a smile and I remember her sense of humor so well. My heart goes out to her family; she was taken way too soon.
My deepest sympathies go out to Kristen's family. I met her in high school in 1988 and she is my son's godmother. Even though we lost touch through the years I have always considered her one of the best friends I have ever had in my life. It was an honor to know her and the world is a little darker today without her in it. She was a true and loyal person and I loved her dearly. I am just sorry we were never able to reconnect. She will remain in my heart forever. Her family is truly in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless all of you.
