The first 12 years of my life were spent in the little Webb house on Pilot Creek behind the larger Webb home and the Simonson home. Simonson's had the first television in the neighborhood and my brother, Pat and I spent a lot of time at the Simonson home with Lauren watching Captain Video, Howdy Doody and the Mickey Mouse Club. Lauren was the little rascal that told me to put my tongue on the steel railing at the backdoor of the Simonson home in the middle of winter. Of course, stupid little Mike put his tongue on it and it froze and you know what happened! Not good. He ripped it right off. He walked around for the next week with a washcloth in his mouth. Regardless, I've always considered Lauren a good friend and I'll miss him.
