Lee George Orlic's Obituary
Mr. Lee George Orlic, of Stanley, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the age of 76.
Lee was originally born in Pittsburgh, PA to Michael & Eleanore Orlic. Lee lived the last 30 years in NC, mostly around the Lake Norman area. Lee graduated from The Pennsylvania State University earning a Masters in Business Administration in 1968. He served several years in the Army Reserves after college. He started selling magazines at age 12 and always enjoyed working in sales and meeting new people. Lee spent over 20 years of his life after college selling plastic materials. In 1990, Lee founded a plastic manufacturing company in Concord, NC, Double O Plastics, Inc. He was involved in the day to day operations of the company until he died; growing the company from 2 employees to over 45. He truly lived the American Dream.
Lee enjoyed reading, golfing and dancing. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and spent a year playing on the Penn State team. He has traveled all over the United States and to several countries in Asia. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and generosity.
Mr Orlic is survived by his wife, Jeanette Orlic, his brother, Michael Orlic, his children: Jonathan Orlic and Marlo Sklaroff and grandchildren: Zoë & Lexi.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Friday, October 4 at James Funeral Home of Huntersville followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home until 7:30 pm.
