Lena Ferrell's Obituary
Lena Knox Ferrell passed away at her son’s home in Seneca, SC on Friday, May 18, 2018. She was born in Mecklenburg County, on March 14, 1922. Mom lived most of her life on Will Knox Rd, in Huntersville where she was born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Ferrell, her mother and father, Will and Bess Knox, three sisters, Louise Brown (Vinson) Pauline Brown (Paul) Emma Alexander (Jones), and one brother, Edward
Graham Knox.
Lena is survived by her sons, Wayne Ferrell (Donna)of Stanley, and Ronnie Knox Ferrell (Kathleen) of Seneca, SC,; four grandchildren, Marie Matthews (Mark) of Huntersville, Fran Black (Brian), John Ferrell (Madeline) all of Iron Station, Alicia Swain (Tyler) of Fairplay, SC; eight great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Matthews, Sam Robinette, Allen Matthews, Zuri Swain, Kohyn Swain, Tessa Swain, Coley Ferrell and Seth Black.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 21, 2018 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 19920 Bethel Church Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation, (Memo GHS Hospice of the Foothills), 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672 or Bethel Presbyterian Church 19920 Bethel Church Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031.
