Linda Henson's Obituary
Linda Kilgore Henson, 76, of Huntersville died September 22, 2019 at her home. She was born on February 13, 1943 in Jacksonville, AL to Robert and Daisy Kilgore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, of 36 years, Samuel Steven Henson. Also by her sister and brother, Betty Hooks and Glenn Kilgore.
Survivors include her daughters: Lynette Davis and husband Tommy of Huntersville, Carol Ramsey and husband Jeff of Davidson and Donna Kern and husband Scott of Huntersville. 7 grandchildren: Jessica Vinyard and husband Daniel, Kimberly Boyd and husband Andrew, Whitney Caracciolo and husband Tony, Brittany Ramsey, Matthew Ramsey, Benjamin Kern, and Gracie Kern. She also had 8 great-grandchildren: Juliana, Aiden, Hailey, Raelynn, Luca, Meredith, Jacob, and baby Elin. Sister and brother: Reba Knight and Bobby Kilgore.
Linda loved gardening, mowing her lawn, cooking for her family, crafting, and antiquing. Linda had a great sense of humor. She loved to laugh and be the center of attention! Linda had a ton of compassion for people in need. Above all, she loved her grand children and great grandchildren dearly. She loved her home. Her family and amazing caregivers, especially Becky Whittaker, were able to honor her wishes to stay in her home until her death.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, September 27 at James Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-2 PM prior. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church in Huntersville.
