Lois Puckett's Obituary
Lois Pangle Puckett, 88 of Charlotte died January 27, 2014. She was born on August 17, 1925 to the late Ellen and Fred Pangle. Lois worked about all her adult life beginning at Delmar Studios, then Hudson Hosiery. She then worked at the A&P Meat Warehouse and finished in the A&P Retail Stores. Her hardest and most enjoyable job was at home taking care of her husband and three children. She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Edwin R. Puckett; daughters Carol Cribb and Brenda Puckett; son Edwin Michael Puckett (Marsha); grandchildren Scott Puckett (Robin), Robert Puckett (Wendy), William Cribb (Kim), Jennifer Curry, Cindy Byrum (Marty) and 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Fred and Ellen Pangle, brother, Reid Pangle (Mary Neal), sisters Florence Jetton (Hugh), Mae Jones (Ernie) and Ethel Revels (Lewis).
The family would like to offer special thanks to the Hospice staff and her caregivers Miss Evelyn and Miss Lillie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Hospice of Charlotte.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Wade Ogle and Rev. Jimmy Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service in the Family Life Center.
