Lorita Dizon's Obituary
Mrs. Lorita Dizon, 96, passed away in Huntersville, North Carolina, Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Lorita was born in Seattle, WA, moved to Stockton, CA, and went to John Brown University in Little Rock, AR. She went to the Philippines and founded New Tribes Mission Philippines. She met her husband, Dr. Victor Dizon, in Chicago, IL, after returning to the U.S. They moved to Honolulu, HI, to raise their family. After retirement, they did medical missions throughout Asia. Lorita attended Hope Covenant Church, participated in a Bible study group, an online study with friends in Honolulu, and enjoyed spending time on her computer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Demetrio and Anna Ente, husband Victor, and brothers Eddie, Bill, and Jimmy.
Mrs. Dizon is survived by her children: Nicolas Dizon (Amy) of Honolulu, HI; Vikki Watanabe (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC; Alma “Gigi” Barish (Ken) of Riverside, CA; grandchildren: Alyssa, Sara, Joel, Kristi, Ariel; great-grandchildren: Megumi, Yuna, Kazuma, Theodore; sister, Mardena Ragsac of San Jose, CA; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, at Hope Covenant Church of Huntersville (https://hopecovenant.cc). The family will receive friends at their home from 2 p.m.
In addition, funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Hosoi Mortuary in Honolulu, HI, with lunch following. Services in the Philippines will be announced at a later date.
