Louann Sylvia's Obituary
Louann Norma Sylvia, 48 of Lincolnton, native of beautiful Montauk, NY, died April 21, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 28, 1969 in Nassau County to the late Louis and Concettina Sylvia. She worked as a truck driver and served in the US Coast Guard as well as a police officer, CDL driving instructor and heavy equipment operator. She participated in endless volunteer work and was an adventurous woman who traveled miles on her Harley motorcycle.
Survivors include her daughters, Gayle Probe of Manorville, NY and Maria Probe of Charlotte; sister, Maria Sylvia, NY, beloved friend Carol Sosebee and the extended family of the Bartolottas, and son-in-law, Pete Farinas. She is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Sylvia-Baker.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, April 26 in the chapel of James Funeral Home.
