Louis Wilson Green's Obituary
Louis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 88. He was born in Nashville, TN. He attended Cohn High School in Nashville, where he was a tri-athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. He is inducted into the Cohn High School Basketball Hall of Fame. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving six years, he returned back to Nashville to attend college at David Lipscomb University, where he graduated in 1963. While attending David Lipscomb University, he met his wife, Loweda and they were married in 1963. Out of this union, they had two children, Brent and Meredith. After graduating, they married and moved to Charlotte, NC. In 1974, Louis and his family moved to Davidson, NC where he resided for 50 years. He was a dedicated member of the Mooresville Church of Christ. Louis worked in sales for 42 years for a German-based company, Sexauer, based in White Plains, NY. Upon his retirement, he volunteered at Habitat for Humanity for over 10 years. Louis could always be found doing his favorite things, which included walking to town to get the mail, exercising, and forming long-lasting friendships at the gym. He always led by example, never met a stranger, and was always humble and loyal to all of his family and friends. Louis is pre-deceased by his parents, John and Agnes Green, his brother John, sisters Dorothy and Marion, and son Brent. He is survived by his wife, Loweda, daughter Meredith Hunter (Jeff), of Charlotte, NC, his grandson Jared Hunter of Charlotte, NC, grandsons Conner and Bennett Green of Nashville ,TN, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
Louis will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul, who always was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a future date.
