Louis Keith Faquin,'s Obituary
Mr. Louis Keith Faquin, III, 69, of Huntersville, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2016.
Keith was an avid tennis player excelling in tournament play in North Carolina during high school and college. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Appalachian University on a tennis scholarship. After college, he taught high school chemistry and physics for many years and coached the high school tennis team. Keith was known by his family and friends as an excellent sportsman and a devoted teacher. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Keith Faquin, II and a sister, Marylou Bradford.
Mr. Faquin is survived by his wife, Dina Faquin, mother, Mary Clay Carpenter of Cornelius, son, Wilson Faquin (Corri) of Raleigh, daughter, Rosemary Colwell (Leon) of Charlotte, brother, William Faquin of Boston, MA, and 4 grandchildren; Triston, Michael, Willow, and Woody.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6 2016 in the chapel of James Funeral Home of Huntersville. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
