Lou was my brother-in-law for thirty years. He was a good man and loved our daughter Lucia, she made him melt into a big marshmallow!! Lol! I remember ball the good times we had. I thank you for all your love over the years and the conversation! I miss you and Liz and hope you understand my choices. I will never forget the change in your persona whenever you were hungry and food wasn't done yet; or how you would operate on lobster, crabs, and any shell fish; you didn't miss a morsel! I love you Lou! Keep your eyes on Liz and get her through this!
Hi Louie,
I'm thinking about how long we have been friends. Our first meeting was not in person but through a note on my car with your apartment number - remember?
From that note came all of the things we did together.
You invited me to play golf at Banksville - my first time playing. We would go on to play many rounds of golf together, including the Dutcher, your favorite course. Remember how we would explain our missed shots on some outside force and take full responsibility for all of our great shots and laugh together.
How about playing horseshoes together and with your family at your house?
I can still see you at the helm of your barbecue grill and looking for the floating lobster in your pool each season.
Of course, there were also all of our family gatherings that we attended together.
Oh yes, the Yankee game we went to for you birthday and how exciting it was to see your name up on the giant scoreboard - that was great! Thanks for inviting me to go with you.
Just wanted you to know how much your friendship means to me.

I have about 40 years of Fond Memories! Lou was a Good Brother in-law. One of My favorite Memories was when He and My Sister Liz would host me and a group of Foster Kids that lived with me. All 8 of them at once. He would drop his Tough Italian Guy Facade and Turn his home into "Camp Louie" playing basketball and swimming in the pool with them All. Louie had Great Compassion for my kids.
We met Lou and Liz through neighbors from our old neighborhood who were then their neighbors so they became what I guess you could call our step-neighbors-in-law. It was a good fit from the start. Lou and I (Robert) talked about the Yankees, poker, golf, live music and food – we were fans of all of them. Overall Lou probably got the best of me at the poker table, but I was well compensated eating at one of the Italian night dinners he and Liz put together. If you spent time around Lou and Liz you knew two things for certain: 1) they loved each other and 2) Lou was a good listener! We will miss Lou his warm personality and great smile. Rest in peace and God speed friend.
