Louise Sherrill Hartman's Obituary
Louise (Poe) Sherrill Hartman, 90, of Huntersville, NC went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2025. She was born on April 25,1935 to Ernest and Alma Sherrill in Cooke County, TX.
She enjoyed 60 years of living in her house in Charlotte before moving into assisted living this year. She enjoyed working in her yard and sharing her home with others. She loved reading her Bible and watching sports, especially her beloved Dallas Cowboys. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Cathy Hartman and Sandra Hartman Merrell and her grandson, Michael Hartman, sister Faye Rodden, brother Willie Sherrill, brothers-in-law John Rodden and Joe Roberts, sisters-in-law Anna Sherrill and Ellen Sherrill, and nephews Dale Sherrill and Keith Roberts.
Louise is survived by her daughters Carol Carroll and husband Terry, Cindy Meckola and husband Jeff; grandchildren Scott Carroll, Alaina Carroll, Jordan Meckola, Jesse Meckola, Drew Merrell, Kevin Merrell, Connie Merrell Elliott and husband Justin, great-grandchildren Avianna Carroll and Michael Elliott, son-in-law Andy Merrell and wife Connie, brothers Dave Sherrill and wife Laveda, Wesley Sherrill, Ronnie Sherrill, sister Tena Roberts, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 27 at James Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm with service to follow at 2:00 pm. Following the service burial will be at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville.
