Louise Knox's Obituary
Mary Louise Douglas Knox, 95, of Cornelius, formerly of Charlotte died July 19, 2020 surrounded by her family. Louise was born on March 24, 1925 in Charlotte to the late T. Benjamin and Wilma Douglas. Louise was a member of Huntersville A.R.P. Church. She worked as a seamstress for many years. She was a dedicated servant of Christ who loved her family. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Brown Knox, Jr. and wife Mary Lou of Aiken, SC and Richard Douglas Knox and wife Sarah of Charlotte; daughters, Becky Knox Morton of Mooresville and Barbara Knox Oxford and husband Steve of Charlotte; siblings, Benjamin Douglas and Carol McClendon; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Brown Knox; sister, Dorothy Hinson; and 1 great-grandson, Brandon.
Mrs. Knox will be lying in repose from 12-5 PM at James Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 22 for any friends who wish to pay their respects.
Due to COVID 19 a private family funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, July 23 at James Funeral Home with burial following at Bethel Presbyterian Church. The funeral will be live streamed on the James Funeral Home Facebook page for those who would like to view the service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Huntersville A.R.P. Church or the Carolina Caring Hospice. The family would like to thank Jamica, Anita, and Virginia of Carolina Caring Hospice for their love and care for Louise.
