Lucille (Steger) Kobussen's Obituary
Lucille Edith (Steger) Kobussen, age 89, of Cornelius, died on Monday March 21 2011, at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. She was born on July 15, 1921 in Park Falls, Wisconsin. She was married on August 16, 1941 to Daniel (Dan) Kobussen (deceased), in Janesville, Wisconsin.
She is survived by seven children, Richard (Susan) Kobussen of Minneapolis, MN, Paul (Rose Marie) Kobussen, of Northbrook, IL, Joseph (Mary) Kobussen, of Stoughton, WI, Joan (Don) Fischer of Hendersonville, NC, Teresa (Rob) Zache, of Verona, WI, Mary (John) Fischer of Cornelius, NC, and Dan (Lise) Kobussen, of Prairie du Sac, WI: 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren a sister Mary Elizabeth Wright of Janesville, WI a sister-in-law Shirley Steger of Bridgewater VA, and three nieces and one nephew.
Lucille was preceded in death by a brother Donald Steger of Bridgewater VA, along with her parents Albert Vincent Steger and Mary Edith Wielman of Janesville, Wisconsin. Dan and Lucille retired from Madison Wisconsin, where he was an executive with the Wisconsin Telephone company, to Lake Placid Florida (later to Palm Coast Florida). For the past five years Lucille lived at Churchill Assisted Living in Mooresville, NC and was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville.
A service will be held at St Ann’s Catholic Church in Stoughton Wisconsin and she will be buried with her husband Dan at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union, Wisconsin.
