Luis F. Romero Genao, age 71, of Gastonia, passed away on February 6, 2026.
He was born on August 24, 1954, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and was the son of the late Felix Maria Genao and Teofila Romero.
Luis is survived by his devoted wife, Ana Romero; his sons, Luis Romero and Luis R. Romero; his daughter‑in‑law, Rosa Jimenez De Romero; and his cherished grandchildren, Jesus Daniel, Scarlet, Rosaura, Angel, and Noah.
Luis found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his days. He also enjoyed working with his hands, often putting things together in his garage—a place where he felt at peace. He took great pride in his work operating loader machinery, a job he approached with dedication and passion.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
