Luisa Rodriguez's Obituary
Luisa Rodriguez, of Huntersville, beloved mother, grand-mother and great-grand-mother passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday October 21, 2019.
Luisa was strong, kind and loving mother to her seven children which she raised by herself as a divorced working mother. During her lifetime, she endured and surpassed several life-threatening illnesses while still managing to keep her cheerfulness and sense of humor. Her un-faltering belief in Jehovah gave her the strength and discipline needed to overcome these obstacles. Her love for nature was evident in her ‘green thumb’; where anything that she planted flourished; whether it was lemons, pumpkins, tomatoes or even palm-tree’s in Puerto Rico. Her love for her grand and great-grandchildren was evident in the love they showed for her in return.
Nanny, as she is lovingly known by her grand and great-grandchildren was a true inspiration to everyone. Her kind loving and sometimes feisty ways will truly be missed by all of us. She was a great example to all.
Luisa has left us all with a great void in our hearts; Mom, we will miss you so very much and look forward to someday being with you again.
She is loved by her surviving children, Tony, Louie, Daisy, Frankie, Billy, Michael, and Lizzy.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 23 with a reception to follow at James Funeral Home.
James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
