Christian Resolution of Respect
In Loving Memory of
Lydia Janeen Johnson
On behalf of Rev. Dr. Maurice A. Flaniken, Senior Pastor, and the entire membership of Trinity Baptist Church, Detroit, Michigan, we extend our sincere prayers, heartfelt sympathy, and Christian love to Deaconess Sandra Farr in the loss of her beloved sister, Lydia Janeen Johnson.
Whereas, God in His infinite wisdom has called from labor to reward our dear sister Lydia Janeen Johnson; and
Whereas, earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal, and we are reminded in Scripture, “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4); and
Whereas, we trust in the promise of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who declared, “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 11:25);
Therefore, be it resolved that we, the Pastor and membership of Trinity Baptist Church, stand in prayerful solidarity with Deaconess Sandra Farr and her family during this season of bereavement. We pray that the God of all comfort will strengthen, sustain, and surround her with His abiding peace that surpasses all understanding.
Be it further resolved that we celebrate the life and legacy of Lydia Janeen Johnson, giving thanks to God for the love she shared and the memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Be it finally resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Deaconess Sandra Farr and family as a token of our love, support, and Christian fellowship, and that it be recorded in the archives of Trinity Baptist Church.
Humbly submitted this 10 day of February, 2026.
