Lynn Edward Brecht,'s Obituary
Lynn Edward Brecht, age 65, of Charlotte died Saturday, July 18, 2015. He was born on November 29, 1949 in Mecklenburg County to the late Henry Herbert and Mary Doris Helms Brecht. He spent many years working for Duke Power.
Survivors include his wife Becky; sons, Lynn (Vicki) Brecht, Jr., Michael (Sheila) Powell; step-sons, Corey (Shannon) Kohnle, Christian (Misty) Kohnle; daughter, Melissa (Phil) Knight; sister, Tina Slagle; sister-in-law, Jenny Brecht; grandchildren, Misty (Stephen) Miles, Kristy Brecht, Dustin Brecht, Dorian Knight, Tory Knight, Peyton Powell, Peyton Kohnle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Leslie Brecht and sister Valencia Brecht.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 E 7th St. Charlotte, NC 28204.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of James Funeral Home at 2 PM Sunday, August 2. A visitation will follow.
