Madgelene Holland Root's Obituary
Madgelene Holland Root, age 77, of Huntersville, passed away while in the care of Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Madgelene was born on Friday, February 20, 1948 in Lexington, KY, to Harlan and Margaret (Kisle) Holland. She was married to Richard Lee Root on December 30, 1975.
Madgelene was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her many close friends and her adoptive granddaughters Camila and Laura Saavedra.
Madgelene was predeceased by her parents and all 6 of her siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 50 years, Richard L Root, her son Michael A Root and his wife Victoria, her grandson Justin Root and her granddaughter Heather Ellis.
Services for Madgelene will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
