Hi Manfred! I miss you! I hope you and Marianne are together looking down on me ❤️ I am so thankful to have met you both and take care of you when it was needed. My favorite memory was driving you guys around and going grocery shopping (pre covid) at BJ’s or Aldi. You loved sweets like pastries, cake, and ice cream. You actually put me on to the most delicious cake from the freezer aisle that I still buy to this day. Your home was a safe space for me where I could do my homework and at the same time make some money. I always worked my school schedule around so that I can still work shifts at your house, even if it was the night shift. You were an early riser so I always made sure your coffee was ready to go. I always had to keep an ear out for you because you were always up to something, either in the garage or in the back yard. Every so often you would peep in the door and call out that you were okay so that Marianne would know you were fine. You loved Marianne so much and it was so inspiring. We would sit at the dinner table and look out the window for birds in the trees and bunnies eating the clovers in the yard. I loved watching you learn how to use your iPad, eventually you got the hang of it and even read the news on there (lol). I wish I could go back and spend one more evening with the two of you. I miss you both very much. I can still hear our conversations in my head and you telling me to sit down and not work so hard. I will never forget you guys. You hold a special place in my heart, my German Opa ❤️
