Marc Roberts' Obituary
Marc Allen Roberts, 78, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on April 17, 2025.
Marc was born in West Virginia to Loretta, a precious mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. As the eldest child among four, early in his life he became the man of the household to his younger siblings. Marc attained the Explorer level with the Boy Scouts and played football for The North Mecklenburg High School Vikings. He also attended North Carolina State University, Kings Business College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Marc proudly served in Korea with The United States Army - Military Police, guarding missile facilities and training sentry dogs. He married his high school sweetheart, and she blessed him with twin daughters.
As a young man, Marc worked as a retail clothing buyer and in merchandising. His career included multiple business ventures with his former wife, and his brother. Marc enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle and spent many days hunting and fishing, along with pursuing the accomplishments of sea captain, private pilot, real estate broker, general contractor and several other professional licenses.
Marc is survived by his mother, daughters, a son-in-law, his sister and brother-in-law, and brother and sister-in-law.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care that Novant Health Presbyterian hospital provided.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM on May 3, 2025 at Woodlawn Baptist Church at 4622 Nations Crossing Road Charlotte, NC 28217.
In lieu of flowers, the family, in gratitude for our Lord and Savior’s amazing grace, requests memorial donations to Woodlawn Baptist Church: Benevolence, Chapel John and Woodlawn Seniors funds.
