Marcelle Halsey's Obituary
Marcelle Halsey, 85, of Cornelius died May 22, 2025. She was born on August 15, 1939 in Caldwell County, NC to the late Victor and Jesse White.
Marcelle attended Oak Hill High School in Lenoir where she was a cheerleader for 4 years.
After a move to Washington DC she married Cliff Halsey and they settled in Cornelius.
She worked for General Time / Talley Industries for many years.
In 2000, she was widowed by Cliff Halsey.
In 2014 Marcelle married Joe Bost. They spent years traveling up and down the east coast.
Marcelle had a life long love of reading and peanut butter and crackers!
Survivors include husband, Joe Bost; son, Mark Halsey and wife Nancy; Daughter In Law Sandy Halsey, sisters, Wanda Moffett and Rogene Jones; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by husband Cliff Halsey, son Scott Halsey and sister Leslie Smith

Memorials may be made to Mt Zion Neighbor Care Center or Downs Syndrome of Greater Charlotte.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday May 27 at 11 AM at Mt. Zion U.M.C. in Cornelius. Visitation will be one hour prior in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery.
