Marcene Leggett's Obituary
Marcy Harrison Leggett, age 55, passed away at her home in Charlotte on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. She was born September 14, 1959 in Long Beach, CA to Ralph and RoseMary Harrison. She was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School and attended Hyles-Anderson College. She married Tim Leggett on May 20, 1999 in Mooresville, NC. She worked as an Information Services Specialist for Carolinas HealthCare System, displaying a wonderful knack for solving problems and teaching others.
Marcy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the company of her pets, playing games, reading, and Skyping with her sisters in California. She had a deep abiding faith in the Lord that gave her great comfort throughout her life. Marcy had a natural sweetness and her loving nature affected people in a deep and positive way.
Marcy is survived by her husband, Tim Leggett; her daughter, Cynthia Leggett; her mother-in-law, Rita Nordman; her brother, Wayne Harrison, his spouse, Lisa and their four children; her sister, Brenda Lee Harrison; and her sister, Lisa Harrison and her wife Odelia, as well as many others.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr., Huntersville, NC with The Reverend Gary Moyer officiating. Committal services will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Family, friends, and others whose lives Marcy touched are invited to Wayne Harrison’s home on 12305 Mayes Road, Huntersville NC at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 to reminisce, grieve, and support each other as we commemorate the life of Marcy Harrison Leggett.
