Margaret Goldsmith Rhoades' Obituary
Margaret Ann Goldsmith Rhoades, age 81, of Huntersville, died on Friday, August 10, 2018. She was born in Havre, MT, a daughter of the late, Walter and Leona Legler Goldsmith.
Margaret earned her Master’s degree from Ball State University and went on to teach music at Eastern Hancock in Indiana. She and her husband, “Jack” lived in Greenfield, Indiana, where she taught elementary school and music, and accompanied many of Jack’s musicals. She taught piano until she was 80. Margaret was also a member of the Baha'i Faith.
In addition to her husband, “Jack”, John A. Rhoades, Sr, she is survived by her sons, John Rhoades (Karen), Danny Rhoades (Krista) all of Greenfield, IN; daughters, Lori Daugherty, (Sean) of Charlotte, NC and Tammy Rhoades-Baldwin, (Jim) of Huntersville, NC; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 9:30 am, Monday, August 13, in the Chapel of James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville. Margaret’s Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens, 11001 Alexanderana Rd, Huntersville.
