Margaret Brown's Obituary
Margaret Crenshaw Brown, 101, of Huntersville passed away April 16, 2018 at the Autumn Care of Cornelius. She was born and raised in the Mallard Creek Community on February 4, 1917 to the late Latta and Garrie Linker Crenshaw. Margaret was married to the late Banks M. Brown who preceded her in death and also her daughter, Doris B. Wright of Spartanburg, S.C. Survivors include her son, Robert Monroe Brown and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret loved spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed fellowship with her church family. As an active member of the Huntersville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church she served in many capacities and was involved in many organizations and events. God’s spirit was strong in her life and to all around her.
Margaret had a special affection for quilting beautiful quilts, baking, and canning the vegetables from the garden. She was an avid reader, especially the Bible.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, April 22 at the Huntersville A.R.P. Church with the Rev. Lee Shelnutt and the Rev. Jim Curtis officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 prior to the service in the sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
