Margaret "Pat" McCord's Obituary
Margaret “Pat” Allison McCord, 89, of Davidson, died June 3 at The Pines at Davidson. She was born on December 2, 1926 in Cabarrus County to the late Frank and Johnnie Allison. She worked for many years at Maintenance Supply as a bookkeeper. Pat was a faithful member of Ramah Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder, honorary life member of the Presbyterian Women and one of the original den mothers of Cub Scout Troop 16.
Survivors include her husband David B. McCord; son, David B. McCord, III (Kathy) of Concord; daughter, Deborah McCord (David Williams) of Huntersville; sister, Sue James of Kentucky; grandchildren, Sara Murch (Colin) and Anna McCord. The family would like to thank her loving caregiver Robin Strickland.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 Tuesday, June 7 at Ramah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Harold Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Following burial, the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall. The family will also receive friends at The Pines at a date to be announced.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Norman, The Resident’s Assistance Fund at The Pines or Ramah Presbyterian Church.
