Mari Hege Rink of Cornelius, NC passed away November 6th at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte following complications from surgery. She was born August 7, 1935 to the late Theresa Cooke Hege and John Dennis Hege of Salisb Read Obituary
Mari and I became friends when we started school together. Also, her Mother reached out to Laura and me to get together, and invited us to play bridge at her house. This was so kind, and the 4 of us played bridge together as long as we could. We were always welcome there. Hi
Mari will be greatly missed by the members of the Country Club Shores community and especially myself and Tina my wife.
We always enjoyed seeing her on her daily drives in her beautiful white Lexus.I will miss our discussions about the what was happening in CCS and the lake area in general,she was always up to date with the current events.
She will be missed and remembered by us in our thoughts and prayers.

Mari was a great friend and neighbourof our late Aunt Marjorie and after her death was a great support and friend to our Uncle Alwyne, which was really a joy as they had not always seen eye to eye!
It was always fun and a challenge to visit Mari but I definitely had to be on my toes as she missed nothing and wanted to know everything. She was very proud of her family and talked about them often.

Mari was a wonderful neighbour and friend to Alwyn before and after he moved back here to England, often phoning him for a catch up, Mari and I had many long chats on the phone which we’re always full of laughter mainly due to misunderstandings arising from her lovely southern accent and my Scottish drawl, I shall miss her
Mari and I had many long conversations, mostly by phone. Our "talks" always gave me pause. She made me think and she made me laugh and I will miss her very much. My deepest condolences to her family, of whom she was so very proud. -Kay Hovey
