I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Maria's passing. Too young and too soon. To Gary and family, my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I enjoyed working with Maria over the years and felt a strong connection to her as our businesses were acquired a few years ago. I thought I was alone in that process but quickly learned we were together. Carrie and I spent many wonderful evenings with Gary and Maria at IR functions and enjoyed laughing and catching up. She could always make me smile, was always down to earth, and always left me with a feeling of caring and friendship. She will be missed.

Gary & family, there are no words that can express my extreme sorrow to hear this news. Maria was a great leader and mentor, but most of all a great friend. She will be dearly missed. Tim
I am so sorry to hear about Maria. I worked very closely with her on various projects. People focuses. Smart. Caring. A great loss. May her amazing impact be of comfort to her family. She will be heartily missed.
My sincerest condolences to Gary and the family. The good memories and the loving God provide the confort to all.
I'm so sad ... it's unbelievable true! Maria Blase was an example for me when I have started in Trane with 27 years old, to many years ago (21 to be more precise). She was a leader, she started to care about me immediately after she met me in Brussels. For a few months, and fysically far away, even so she wanted to know frequentely if this Portuguese girl was getting enought support from the Company on her new finance role!!! Can you imagine me with 27 years receiving such an attention from the Finance leader? What a lucky girl I was. Yes I had that previlege and I will never forget it. Thx Maria for having been part of my professional life in that hard moment. Believe me, you made all the difference on the path I'm still walking. My sincere condolences to the family in this hard moment. Big lose!
It was such an honor to work closely with Maria during her tenure on the Winnebago Industries Board of Directors. Maria was the chair of our Finance Committee, and also on the Audit Committee, and so as the CFO of Winnebago Industries I had the privilege of working extensively with Maria, including many one-on-one video conferences between Board meetings. Maria’s genuine intention to help us elevate our performance and her thoughtful questions and conversations showed her underlying character. It was never about herself. It was always about helping others. And I feel honored to have been one of the beneficiaries of her generosity, strong intelligence, and great experience in the business world. She will be greatly missed in so many ways.
