Hi Marianne, I hope you are resting peacefully. I think about you and Manfred very often, almost daily. I was a college student and working as a CNA when I met you both for the first time. I would come over once a week to cook dinner and clean up a little bit. From the very first time I met you guys you showed me nothing but warm love, the kind only a grandparent gives. As the months went on I would come over more often as more care was needed. I have so many memories, but my favorite was the simple moments where we would eat dinner together and sit and talk about everything under the sun. I loved reading magazines with you and sharing our opinions. I loved picking your brain and realizing we were not that much different from each other, besides the obvious age gap. You were such a sweet lady, but feisty at the same time. I loved your funny, sarcastic personality. You showed me that being submissive to a man doesn’t mean letting him run all over you, there’s healthy ways to love. I cherish the advice you gave me when I was in a toxic relationship. I am so thankful for all the memories we shared, you and Manfred left a lasting impression on me. I love you Oma! We will meet again ❤️
