Marie Nolte's Obituary
Marie Annette Machabelo Nolte, age 55, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on June 25th, 2026.
Marie was born and raised in Westfield, MA, and moved to Charlotte in 2010, due to her husband’s job relocation.
Marie was a lover of music and crafting including floral design. She loved animals, was a dog lover, and especially loved her dog, Franco. She was an amazing cook, it was truly her passion and it is said by many that she was the best cook in the family. She loved her family more than anything.
Marie was preceded in death by her beloved parents Carlos and Ana Machabelo. As well as her eldest brother Victor Vasquez.
Mrs. Nolte is survived by her husband of 31 years, Matt Nolte, and her daughter Hailey Nolte, 23, both of Charlotte. Other family includes her sisters; Maritza Arroyo, Ana Santiago, and her brothers; Vinny Santiago, Angel Santiago, and Carlos Machabelo, nephew, Ariel Santiago and his family, and her "other daughter", Izzy Garcia. Her entire family loved her dearly, and will be remembered by them fondly always.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday July 1st. The family will be receiving friends and family from 2 pm to 3 pm, Funeral services will be held at 3pm. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
