Marilyn Rose Sacek's Obituary
Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Marilyn Sacek, peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by family on April 17, 2024, after a courageous battle against cancer. She was 87 years old. Marilyn was born and raised in New York City and spent her summers in Rocky Point, Long Island. She had always been an active member of the Catholic Church. She helped build her parish of St. Matthias in New Jersey and when she retired to North Carolina she was involved in numerous activities at St. Mark.
Marilyn was the heart of our home and family. She enjoyed playing board games and doing arts and crafts with her children and grandchildren. Marilyn was an avid gardener that could make a beautiful flower blossom from a twig. She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Rose and Kurt. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert Sacek, their children; Tommy Sacek (Rachel), Michael Sacek, Richard Sacek (Debbie), Donna Sacek Babb (Rick), grandchildren; Austin (Anna), Matthew (Abigail), Critter (Lexi), Jacob and many other loving family and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at 1 PM, Monday, April 22, 2024 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville, followed by a final farewell at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research
