Mario Sena's Obituary
Mario Sena of Huntersville, NC was born in Luzzi, Italy on February 8, 1933 to the late Michael and Concetta Sena. He passed on December 12, 2020 at age 87. He lived a productive and fulfilling life, made a real difference in this world. His Survivors include his wife Lorraine Julia Sena, son Michael Sena of Huntersville NC, daughters Gina Marie McKeehen (Brent) of North Wales PA, and Mariann Ferraro (Richard, deceased) of Charlotte NC, and grandchildren Joseph McKeehen (29) and Michael McKeehen (16).
Mario is predeceased by siblings, Sister Rosina Danesi, Brother Frank Sena, Brother Emidio Sena, and Brother-in-laws Patrick Iuliucci and John Iantorno. Mario is survived by sisters, Ida Iantorno of Hammonton NJ, Josephine Iuliucci of Waterford NJ, and Anna (Frank) Cuci of Hammonton NJ.
At age 19, he came to the United States in 1952. He initially settled in Hammonton NJ and went to work for William B. Kessler Inc., a Hammonton NJ clothing manufacturer. For the next 10 years he strived and succeeded in bringing his remaining family from Italy to the United States. In 1962, he married Lorraine J. Sonsini. They moved to New Britain PA, upon purchasing Bitzer Drycleaners, a family-owned business in the early 1960s. Mario, in partnership with his brother Emidio, ran the drycleaning business for nearly 50 years. During that time, he bought a home in Doylestown PA, raised three children, and developed a reputation based on his love for his customers and exceptional tailoring skill. The business was sold in 2012.
The quintessential ‘Man of All Seasons’, Mario was a devoted father, and a workaholic with the highest of work ethic. Nature fascinated him and he loved exploring the car market. He had an aptitude for mechanics; he could look at an object and figure out how it was made, how it was built, and how it worked. He was an avid reader, and always developed an amazing perspective in terms of what he observed about the world around him. He was a listener, a thinker, and a generous, empathetic soul. He loved to play pinochle. He was a proud family man, especially when it related to his family member’s accomplishments; His Children, Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Brothers and Sisters - all had a prominent place in his heart. He loved his wife, married for 58 extraordinary years.
He is severely missed and will be lovingly remembered. He loved life and learning. He left a legacy of love and was a genuine, gentle, peace-loving man.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, Dec 17, 2020 at St. Mark Catholic Church. The viewing will take place from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at James Funeral Home prior to the service. Please observe CDC COVID-19 restrictions and recommendations.
