I use to hop on my bike and peddle up the Brackel Road up to the "Hook" where the Schoenmaker farm with it's yellow barn (not Red!) was to play with Marja and her little brother. Wilma would sometimes let us have a snack of saltines with butter and sugar on them. Such a gay and vivacious households with lots of laughter and merriment. Such fond memories.
Marja went to school with us in Cincinnatus, NY. I knew what a special person she was. I have held a place in my heart for her since 1968. My condolences to her children, grandchildren and brother John and her Mom.
Marj was the greatest friend, we had so much fun on the farm. She was the most beautiful Mary @ one of the Christmas pageants @ school. Good friend & I am so sad for her family. RIP Marj.
I graduated from high school with Maria. I haven’t seen her in years, but I remember her as a very sweet girl. My condolences to her family. Joellen Harris Deiss class of 1968.

Your mother will be dearly missed. She was a kind, caring and most genuine soul. I cannot remember a time when Aunt Marja was ever upset. Mindy and I were just speaking of her contagious smile and a phenomenal laugh. Her patience with us as kids was epic; especially with some of the things we did over the holidays or on vacations. Aunt Marja's interest in our lives and that of our families was always so authentic. I wish we had more time to truly spend together like we did when we were kids. She will be remembered for her giant heart and the joy she brought to so many.
