Marjorie Ross (Whitford)'s Obituary
Marge Ross, 85, of Denver, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2011.
Born in Akron, OH, she attended South and Ellet High School. Marge lived her entire life in Akron, with the exception of the last 2 years in Charlotte, N.C. During her lifetime, Marge worked at the Lowes Theatre, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and The A. Polsky Company.
She married her high school sweetheart, Bob on December 30, 1944. Marge had such a gentle spirit that inspired us all. She was a devoted wife, mother and Christian lady. Marge was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge and a founding member of Crossroads Bible Fellowship.
Preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Wenum; husband, Robert C.; twin sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Mike Michaels.
Marge is survived by her loving children, Deborah (J. Michael) Whitman of Lake Norman, N.C.; Daniel (Rebecca) Ross of Uniontown; Grandchildren, Christopher (Lorri), Jason (Kim) Hoffman; Jeremy Ross; Heather (Tim) Johnston and Nathaniel C. Ross; great grandchildren Lauren Gonzales, Victoria and Ian Johnston, Parker, Hayden, Hugh, Ava, and Lilly Hoffman and Dakota Ross. Brother-in-law, James G (Norma) Ross of Massillon. She loved them all.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the ladies and staff at Sarah’s Place for their love and care, especially in her final days. Also, sincere gratitude to Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley, N.C.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held Saturday, September 10th at Crossroads Bible Fellowship, 737 George Washington Blvd, Akron. The family will receive guests at 9:30 am with a Memorial service at 11:00 am. Interment will be private and will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
