Marlene Edwards' Obituary
Marlene Erickson Edwards, 94, of Davidson NC died January 8, 2026. She was born on August 29, 1931 in Oakland, CA to the late Victor and Amelia Erickson.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, her maternal grandmother migrated to the west coast by wagon train via the Oregon Trail.
Her mothers family was living in the Mission District of San Francisco during the 1906 Earthquake.
Marlene retired from Bethlehem Steel and was a computer operator in the rebar division. She participated in the implementation of the early IBM automation processes.
Marlene was a prominent member of Grace Covent Church - Cornelius for 31 years.
Survivors include son, Charles Edwards and wife Alexandra; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Her daughter Charlotte preceded her in death.
Services will be private.
