Martha Audrey Maloney's Obituary
June 25, 1943 – December 19, 2017
Martha Maloney was united with her Savior on December 19, 2017, something she was looking forward to with great anticipation! Martha was born June 25, 1943 in Northern California, where she spent most of her life. She had relocated to Charlotte, NC in 2002, and considered it home ever since.
Martha spent much of her life invested in her family, raising her two sons, Robert and Brian. After the love of her life, Robert Sr., passed away in 1984, Martha raised her two sons on her own. Since then, her talents in accounting and customer service provided her opportunities to meet and work with great people. She most recently celebrated a 15-year anniversary working at Marshalls, in Matthews, NC. Her co-workers and customers enjoyed her quick wit and laughter.
Martha loved her children, and cherished her grandchildren, Emerald, Brittany, Kyle and Sean. And she adored her daughter-in-law, Faye Maloney, who is married to her son Robert. Those who knew Martha well had no doubt she was a football fan, and she held a special devotion for her Carolina Panthers.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23rd, in the James Funeral Home Chapel, 10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC, with Pastor Jeremy Taylor officiating. A reception will follow from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the James Funeral Home Community Room. Burial will take place at Northlake Memorial Gardens cemetery, 11001 Alexanderana Road, Huntersville, NC, following the reception.
