Martha Crowe's Obituary
Martha Sue “MaSue” Crowe, 84 years old, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully on the evening of March 23,2022 at Autumn Care of Cornelius.
She was born in Alabama and grew up in Georgia. She married Jackson “JC” Crowe. After traveling several places with her husband due to Army assignments, they landed in North Carolina. She worked at J&J’s and then retired from Jerry’s Market in 2001. She was a member of Statesville Road Baptist Church, which she loved attending. She loved to read, especially her bible. She was a godly woman and enjoyed sharing the gospel with others. One of her favorite past times was cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed her weekly outing to the hair salon and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
She was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow and Alma Smith of Georgia, husband Jackson Crowe, daughter Donna Crowe Mattox, sister Linda Faye Smith and a grandson Robert Mattox.
She is survived by her sons: Randy (Carol) of Catawba, NC and Tony (Kelly) of Holden Beach, NC and their Children Christopher Crowe (Shea) of Denver, NC, Summer Crowe-Belcher (Tommy) of Charlotte, NC., Megan Crowe Stegall (Cody) of Albemarle, NC, Madison Crowe and Morgan Crowe of Concord NC. Tommy Mattox IV of Concord, Johnny Mattox of NC. Taylor Mattox Eager (Jon) of Louisiana. Many great grandchildren: Katelyn Crowe, Savana Crowe, Tyler Crowe, Kacee Crowe, Jaylin Mattox, Kiley Crowe, Brody Belcher, Thomas Mattox V., Massiah Mattox, Jaycole Mattox, Cutler Crowe and Jameson Eager. And 3 Sisters: Elaine Bell, Lucy Allen, and Marie Jackson of Ga. Including many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and lifelong best friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Statesville Road Baptist Church 4901 Statesville Rd Charlotte, NC on 4/2. Visitation is at the Church from 11:30-12:45. The funeral service is at Statesville Road Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 pm with pastor Gary Wills and Dale Shields. The graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn on Freedom Drive in Charlotte.
