Mary Collins Duckworth's Obituary
Mary Collins Duckworth, 68, of Mt. Mourne, , passed away Monday, July 24, 2023.
Mary was a native of Cornelius, NC and attended The Cove Church prior to declining health. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her dogs brought her many hours of enjoyment. She loved to bake and read Nicholas Sparks books. A favorite past time was watching Hallmark Movies, especially Christmas ones!
Mary was preceded in death by her loving parents, Sam and Bobbie Collins of Cornelius, NC.
Mrs. Duckworth is survived by her husband of 51 years, Geary Duckworth, their children; Allen Duckworth (Katie) of Cornelius, NC, James Duckworth (Fabio) of Cornelius, NC, Taylor Duckworth, sisters; Lynn Anthony (Frank-son Ryan), Jill Lewis (Rodney-son Caelin), and grandson, Devin Duckworth.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023 at James Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Committal services will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery.
The family requests in Mary's honor to dress casually.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to a local dog rescue.
