Mary Fran Coultas' Obituary
Mary Fran Coultas, 70, was called home to be with Jesus on June 17 at her home in Charlotte, after a brief, but courageous battle with brain cancer. Mary Fran’s life was a Godly example of a loving and caring, spirit filled, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to everyone she met.
She was born November 23, 1940, in Pontiac, IL to Robert John “RJ” and Lorraine Cushing (who currently reside in Largo, FL). She earned her B.A, from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL, and was a member of the Board of Directors at the Graduate Realtors Institute and Vice President of the Illinois Board of Realtors.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband Ken Coultas; sons, Tim and wife Karen of Largo, FL, and their children Amanda and Katie; and Doug and wife Lisa of Valrico, FL, and their children, Ryan, John Michael, and Kelly; as well as her bother, RJ Cushing Jr of Reno, NV and sister, Barbara Kelly of Auburn, IL.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius. The family will receive friends one hour prior (6-7 PM) to the service in the church sanctuary, and has requested memorials made to Grace Covenant Church Women’s Ministries, 17301 Statesville Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031, or Hospice and Palliative Care, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204, in lieu of flowers.
