Mary Duvall Howell's Obituary
Beloved Mother, Mary Duvall Howell of Huntersville, NC, gained her Motherly Angel Wings on Friday, March 17, 2023. Mary was born in Topton, NC, on September 18, 1936, the Oldest of three children to the late John Duvall and Ethel Lovinggood Duvall, and eldest sister to siblings, Paul and Janice.
Mary retired in Nursing from Carolinas Medical Center after 30 years of service and during the time, as a Single Mother she raised 4 children ~ Patricia Light, Theresa Collins, Kelly Eugene Morrison and Barbara Tyner Martin and Beloved Furbaby ~ Charlie, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Mary was a believer and served her Lord at First Baptist Church in Huntersville, alongside her predeceased Husband, Max L. Howell. She was a Stephens Minister visiting homebound and volunteered at Lydia's Loft and World Hunger. Mary loved to travel, visiting as far as Hawaii, Oregon and Mexico, with Florida, Tennessee, Branson, MO and the Beach being among her favorites.
Mary loved Arts & Crafts, avidly painting weekly and thrifting at the Flea Market. Mary loved her Family, especially her 4 Grandchildren Amanda Marsh, Jeanette Collins, Chad Marsh (Sabrina) and Olivia Martin, and her 4 Great Grandchildren, Valentina, Tristan, Jaxi and Gavin.
Memorial and Burial will be held on April 21, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Huntersville, NC at 14813 Old Statesville Road at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow immediately after the service. Visitation will be 10-11 AM prior to the service.
