Mary Jane Sullivan's Obituary
Mary Jane Sullivan, 77, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Jane was born August 29, 1939 in Charlotte, NC to the late Harry Lee McClure and Beulah McClure. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Walter, Bruce, H.L., Carl, Wayne, and John McClure, as well as her sisters Betty Neely and Louise Moore.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, R. Steve Sullivan; son, Kenneth (Lisa) Hill of Oakboro; daughter, Ashley (David) Lawson of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Crystal (Matt) Norwood of Concord, Lauren (Jake) Horton of Charlotte, Michael (Erica) Efird Oakboro, Wesley Efird of Oakboro; 2 great grandchildren, Hailee and Blaine Norwood; sister, Minnie Hill of Mint Hill; brother Larry (Marie) McClure of Columbia, SC.
Jane had a genuine love and compassion for her family and friends. Jane had a smile that could light up a room and the personality to match. One of her favorite past times was spending time with friends and family, whether it be shopping, getting her nails done, or sitting on her back porch. She loved her church and was there any time she could be. She was always one of the first people to offer a helping hand to anyone that needed it. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Visitation will be held at Gloryland Baptist Church in Charlotte on Thursday, September 15 from 6-8pm. The funeral will be at Gloryland on Friday, September 16 at 1pm, officiated by Rev. Samuel Case, Josh Case, and Jeff Case. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
