Mary Parks Knox's Obituary
Mary Parks Gabriel Knox, 87, of Davidson, lived her life loving her family above all else. She died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center. She was born on February 12, 1924 in Iredell County to the late William Lee and Winnie Hobbs Gabriel.
Parks was born on a farm in Iredell country. Although she never lived more than a few miles from where she was born, her influence and love was felt far and wide. Mary Parks’ gift of cooking was her way of sharing her love and bringing family together.
She is survived by her brother Bill Gabriel and wife, Carolyn of Elon, her son Ralph Carson Knox and wife, Sheila of Mooresville; daughter, Jean Knox Manley and husband Paul of Mooresville, and her grandson Knox Peake of Charlotte.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Ralph Carson Knox.

A graveside service celebrating Mary Parks life will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Cornelius at 11 A.M. Wednesday, November 23 with Rev. Lewis Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
